Pilebert keeps your invoices, contracts and receipts in an archive only you can read. Everything is encrypted on your device before it is uploaded, and the AI that names, sorts and summarises your documents runs on your Mac.
What you get
End-to-end encrypted
Files, titles, tags and folder names are encrypted on your device before they are uploaded. Our servers store only ciphertext and cannot read your documents.
AI that runs on your Mac
A model bundled with the Mac app reads each document and suggests a title, type, correspondent, summary and tags. Nothing goes to an AI provider.
Spaces you share with care
Invite family or colleagues to a space. Members confirm each other's identity, and removing someone gives the space a new key.
Search that stays with you
Search finds the words inside your documents, not just their titles. It runs in your browser or on your Mac, over text only you can decrypt; the search term never reaches our servers.
Web and Mac
Upload and browse from any browser. The Mac app adds folder and Gmail import, the on-device AI, and an encrypted offline copy.
Your own server, if you prefer
The same app runs on your own hardware with Docker, Postgres and any S3-compatible storage, with the same end-to-end encryption.
Gmail integration
Pilebert can connect to your Gmail account (read-only access) to automatically surface PDF attachments for import. The app requests only the minimum scope required (gmail.readonly) and your Gmail tokens are stored exclusively on your device — they are never uploaded to our servers.
Privacy
Your encryption passphrase never leaves your device, and we cannot reset it: you keep a recovery kit instead. We do not sell or share your data. Read our full Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
